WHAT IS GENU VALGUM AESTHETICS?
Irregular fat distribution in lower legs may lead to a condition named genu valgum. It is possible to correct this problem which causes unappealing and disproportionate look on the legs.
Women and men differ in their motivation for genu valgum aesthetics. While women prefer having beautiful looking legs; men prefer having strong, muscular looking legs. Genu valgum aesthetics do not involve any operation on the bones.
How Genu Valgum Aesthetics Treatment Is Made?
In genu valgum aesthetics, fat injection and silicon implant (prosthesis) are the two major methods:
- Genu Valgum Aesthetics With Fat Injection: In this method, fat removed from the upper legs goes through certain procedures and then injected to the inner calf in accordance with the desired outcome.
- Genu Valgum Aesthetics With Silicon Implant (Prosthesis): This method is preferred in cases where removing fat from the patient’s body is not desirable. It is used for slim people. Procedure involves implanting silicon through a tiny cavity opened on the inner knee muscle under the knee. In Genu valgum aesthetics operations, silicon implants similar to the ones that are currently used as breast implants are used.
Genu valgum aesthetics operation is quite easy and takes 1 to 1,5 hours. Local anesthesia is generally used. If liposuction procedure is combined with genu valgum aesthetics operation, general anesthesia may be used.
RecoveryWhat is the Healing Process After Genu Valgum Aesthetics?
Patient can be discharged on the same day with the genu valgum aesthetics operation. Increasing swelling may occur on the area but it will completely disappear after 1 week.
For 1-2 weeks after genu valgum aesthetics operation, patient should refrain from standing for extended periods of time and should not do any sportive activity for 1 to 1,5 months. After genu valgum aesthetics, patient is recommended to wear corset and surgical stockings.
EYELID SURGERY (BLEPHAROPLASTY)
Eyelids are the body parts that stand out and reveals aging the most because eyelids are anatomically thin skinned and very mobile. This, along with aging, make wrinkles on eyelids unavoidable. Aging and gravity cause sagging of the eyelids and pouches under the eye. This affects aesthetics as well as vision. Today, aesthetic eyelid surgery is considered as one of the most popular ways to treat aesthetic and vision problems that arise with aging on eyelids.
What is Eyelid Surgery?
Aesthetic eyelid surgery is the correction of sagging and loose eyelids. Blepharoplasty is one of the most sought treatments to remove pouches and sagging around the eye. Eyelid surgery is a type of surgery that removes aging signs and solves vision problems that are caused by sagging of the eyelids.
How is the Treatment Process in Aesthetic Eyelid Surgery?
By examining the patient before the surgery; fat amount, excess skin and muscle tissue deformity on the upper and lower eyelids are determined. A surgery is planned in light of these data. If swelling is present around the eyes, cause of this also examined. Patients with ocular tension must see an ophthalmologist. Coronary heart disease, diabetes, etc., will be evaluated and accounted for by the plastic surgeon before the surgery.
Eyelid surgery is done in the hospital, in the operating room with the care of an anesthesiologist. Local anesthesia and intravenous sedation (sedation through vein) technique is used during surgery.
Usually there are no discomforts after surgery but temporary complications may occur such as:
- Blurry vision
- Light sensitivity
- Burning sensation
- Swelling
- Bruising
These complications disappear by itself in 1 week.
How is the Recovery Process After Aesthetic Eyelid Surgery?
Eyes shouldn’t be rubbed for the first 24 hours after aesthetic eyelid surgery. Dressing is applied without covering the eyes. Aesthetic surgeon removes the dressing after 4-5 days. Patients should sleep upright with their heads elevated 30 to 40 degrees. This helps keeping bruises and swelling in the surgery area under control. Applying cold compress is useful for reducing swelling and bruises. A red eye may occur. This minimizes the risk of inflammation. After 2 days, patients can wash their hair with their necks bent backwards. Taking a bath is only allowed after 5 days. Full recovery takes 2 weeks. It is important to wear sunglasses in daily life after the treatment. With personal care, tight and young eyelids can last for a long time.
WHAT IS GYNECOMASTIA?
Gynecomastia is the enlargement of breast in males. Gynecomastia is common among men. One or both breasts can be affected. In gynecomastia cases where one breast is affected, patient should be examined for benign or malign tumors. 40% of healthy, young males develop gynecomastia. For newborns and adolescents, this rate is 70%.
The main cause for gynecomastia is the imbalance of male and female hormones testosterone and estrogen in blood. Hormonal disorders such as below can cause gynecomastia:
- Low testosterone
- Some estrogen producing tumors.
- Liver (cirrhosis) and kidney diseases (kidney failure), hyperthyroidism
One of the rare causes of gynecomastia is the tumors of the adrenal glands or testes that can produces hormones. This problem must be treated.
What are the Treatment Methods for Gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia has 3 degrees which are determined by the present condition and the underlying cause. Before surgery, patient is examined and the root cause of breast enlargement is found. Best treatment is determined with the examination which have to be performed in utmost detail and very carefully. Two treatment methods are preferred in gynecomastia.
1- Excisional Treatment
Excisional breast treatment involves an incision within the bounds determined in the dark area around the nipple. With this procedure excess tissue is removed easily. If needed skin may also be removed. Excisional treatment leaves a visible scar around the nipple which is the only downside of the operation.
2-Liposuction treatment
Liposuction treatment involves 1-2 mm incisions through which thin tubes are extended into the tissue. Excess tissue is removed via these tubes. Not causing any scars is an important factor which distinguishes this treatment from the others. After the procedure performed under local anesthesia, the patient can do his routine work on the same day. The recovery period is more comfortable, the recovery takes place quickly.
Gynecomastia operations can be performed by using general anesthesia or sedation. Patient can go home the same day or the day after. It is possible to return to work in about 5 days. The patient has to wait for 3 to 4 weeks to do sports.
WHAT IS TUMMY TUCK AESTHETICS (ABDOMINOPLASTY)?
Abdomen is very important for aesthetics. Due to the relaxation in the muscles that make up the abdominal wall, deformations such as sagging, fat accumulation and bloating are frequently encountered in the abdomen. Another contributing factor to this deformity is the cracked skin that forms on the abdomen after pregnancy.
Tummy tuck aesthetics or abdominoplasty is a procedure in which accumulated fat and excess skin is removed from the middle and upper abdomen area, making muscles of the abdomen wall firm and tight as before.
Tummy tuck surgery results are technically permanent but to ensure longevity one must both follow the exercise schedule and maintain weight. Gaining and losing weight constantly after surgery can negatively affect the results. Those who are planning to lose too much weight or to have a pregnancy should postpone the surgery.
How is the Treatment Process in Tummy Tuck Aesthetics?
There are two methods used in tummy tuck surgery:
- Full tummy tuck (total abdominoplasty)
- Mini tummy tuck (mini abdominoplasty)
The size of the problematic area is the deciding factor for the method of surgery. This way best results can be achieved. Mini tummy tuck (mini abdominoplasty) surgery is sufficient for mild problems which only occur in the area under the belly button. If similar problems also occur in the area above the belly button, total tummy tuck (total abdominoplasty) surgery is preferred.
Full tummy tuck (total abdominoplasty) surgery involves removing all the excess fat and skin from the area between a couple of cm above belly button and the upper bound of the groin.
In the mini tummy tuck (mini abdominoplasty) surgery all the excess fat and skin are below belly button. In cases where there is muscle gap and loosening, muscles are stitched. Next, skin on the upper edge is stretched and stitched to the lower edge. Belly button is never touched. Since the intervention takes place in a limited area, the effected area is only below the belly button. It is not effective in the entire abdominal area.
Abdominoplasty can only be performed in a sufficiently equipped hospital. General anesthesia is used. Tummy tuck surgery can take up to 4 hours depending on the specific size of the abdomen, though it usually takes 3 to 3,5 hours. 1-2 days of stay in the hospital after surgery is usually enough but it can take longer depending on the condition of the patient.
How Is Recovery After Tummy Tuck Surgery?
3 to 4 hours after total abdominoplasty the patient can stand and walk with the help of someone. 1 day after, the patient can walk without any assistance. The patient can take a bath after 2-3 days. In about a couple of days, the patient gets well enough to take care of himself.
For the first week after surgery, the patient should refrain from doing actions that can stress the abdomen like coughing, heavy lifting, straining. Patient can take a flight after 4-5 days. If feeling well, patient can return to work after 7-10 days provided that it is not a heavy work.
Mini abdominoplasty takes less time since it is done to a smaller area. It usually takes 1 to 1,5 hours. Recovery is quicker and easier. Patient can return to office work after 3-4 days.
WHAT IS ARM LIFT SURGERY (BRACHIOPLASTY)?
With arm lift surgery, the skin sagging that occurs in the arm is removed by surgical methods. Sagging in the upper, back and inner part of the arm usually occurs due to skin sagging and fat accumulation. This is because the skin and subcutaneous tissue are looser in this part. The prominent factors that increase the loosening of the skin and the tissue under the skin and cause sagging include:
- Aging
- Genetic tendency
- Gravity
- Frequent weight gain and loss
- Exposure to sun
Arm sagging that can be experienced for these and similar reasons brings an aesthetically undesirable appearance. Patients who want to get rid of this condition, which is aesthetically unappealing, usually have arm lift surgery.
The sagging in the arm is two-dimensional. It takes place both transversely and longitudinally. For this reason, the skin is cut both transversely and longitudinally with brachioplasty and the sagging skin is separated from the body. The excess transverse skin is removed through incisions made under the armpit. For this reason the incision scar remains hidden.
What is the Process Before Arm Lift Surgery?
As required in the preparation phase of all operations performed under general anesthesia, the patient must not eat or drink for 6 hours before brachioplasty operation. At least 3 days before the intervention, patient have to stop taking blood thinners such as aspirin.
The main principle in arm lift surgery is to remove excess skin and give the arm a tight appearance. The planning of the surgery is carried out depending on the amount of sagging in the skin of the arm and the thickness of the fat layer under the skin.
Arm lift surgery can be performed with different methods. The skin loosening that occurs with the weight gain and loss causes the skin to have a thicker appearance than normal. This may require liposuction. After liposuction, the excess skin should be separated from the body by making an incision. For this reason, the incision is made and excess skin is removed with a surgical intervention.
What is the Process After Arm Lift Surgery?
After arm lift surgery, rubber tube drains can be placed in this area to prevent bleeding and fluid accumulation. These drains are removed after a maximum of 2-3 days. Especially in the first days after the intervention, it is recommended to keep the arms high. A pressure bandage can be applied to reduce problems such as bleeding, edema and swelling that may occur in the operation area. After three days, an elastic bandage in the form of a sock wrapping around the arm is used to give form to the arm.
There is almost no pain in this process. If there is, it will be sufficient to use painkillers. Within a few days, the patient can return to ordinary life. In the first two weeks, the patient can only carry out the daily activities. Provided that he does not use his arms, he can start sports such as running in the third week. It takes eight weeks to be able to play tennis and similar sports that require arm strength. For a certain period of time after arm lift surgery, the scar in the operation area becomes puffy and red. However, as time passes, this scar becomes thinner and faded, becoming less visible.
WHAT IS EAR AESTHETICS (OTOPLASTY)?
Ear aesthetics is a preferred method in the treatment of many deformities that are present from birth or occurred later. We can list the disorders treated with otoplasty surgery as follows:
- Absence or partial absence of the ear at birth
- Extra cartilage protrusions around the ear
- Ear being shrunk like crumpled paper (constricted ear)
- Pointy ears like Captain Spock(Stahl’s ear)
- Partial or complete loss of the ear as a result of an accident
Prominent ear deformity is the most common reason for the otoplasty treatment today.
What are the Anatomical Differences in Prominent Ear Deformity?
Prominent ear is congenital. Anatomically, the cartilage structure of the ear is different. The size of the auricle is mostly normal but there is an angle above 25 degrees between the head and the auricle. Especially when viewed from the back, it is more obvious how much this angle is. Prominent ear deformity can be seen in one or both ears and can be treated.
What is the Treatment Process in Ear Aesthetics?
The youngest age that the prominent ear surgery can be approved in our country is 12-13. This operation is performed under general anesthesia in patients between the ages of 3-6 and under local anesthesia in patients after 12-13 years of age.
With otoplasty surgery, sutures are placed in the cartilage and the angle between the head and the auricle is reduced to what it should normally be. In particular, attention should be paid to making the upper part of the auricle closer. If this is not done and the middle part of the auricle is retracted while the upper part is not, an unpleasant appearance will form. If not enough folds form on the auricle, special stitches are made to make these folds apparent. Some skin is removed from behind the ear. Thus, after the operation, the accumulation of excess skin in the groove behind the ear is prevented. After the interventions performed on the cartilage of the auricle, the surface of the cartilage should be smooth and regular, and care should be taken to prevent scratch like marks on the edge of the auricle.
It has been a known fact for at least 150 years that removing only the skin is not enough for the correction of the ear deformity. Since the intervention takes place from the back of the ear, there is no visible surgical scar. With treatment, the problems detected in the auricle are taken care of. Ear aesthetic surgery takes about 1-2 hours.
How is the Process After Ear Aesthetic Surgery?
After ear aesthetic surgery, the patient uses a bandage covering the auricle for 1 week. It is important to use this bandage with great care. The bandage prevents the accumulation of blood in the ear after the operation and reduces the swelling to a minimum level. Infection, blood accumulation and similar negative conditions after otoplasty are rare.
There is no need to stay in the hospital after otoplasty surgery. Although the patient is bandaged, he can return to ordinary life after 2 to 3 days. However, all activities that require bending the ear should be avoided for 1.5 months. Stitches are removed within 10 days or dissolve by itself. It takes 2-3 months for swelling to go down and for the new form to be fully visible.
WHAT IS LIPOSUCTION?
Liposuction is a procedure in which excess fat in the human body is removed by surgical operation. The fat cells in the adult human body are fixed. The volume of these fat cells increases depending on lifestyle and diet. Weight gain is the result of an increase in the volume of these fat cells. A regular life, exercise and proper diet are the most important factors to get rid of extra weight. However, some people even though they live healthy can have stubborn fat accumulations that do not go away.
Some parts of the body do not get in shape easily by exercise and diet. The common ones include:
- Abdomen
- Hip
- Arm
- Waist
- Knee
- The inside of the thigh
- The outer part of the thigh
Excess fat accumulation in these areas is eliminated to some extent with the help of diet and exercise. However, increasing diet and exercise more can harm the body’s overall metabolism instead of losing fat. In such cases, liposuction operation can be applied.
How is Liposuction Surgery Performed?
In liposuction operation, the excess fat in certain parts of the body is removed from the body by pulling with a special vacuum or special injectors. Liposuction is a body contour correction operation. It is definitely not a slimming surgery. With this intervention, where fat tissue that is enlarged in volume and resistant to diet and exercise is removed from the body, the number of existing fat cells is reduced.
Liposuction surgery should be performed in a hospital environment, in the operating room and under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. A combination of local anesthesia and intravenous sedation is preferred. If the operation area is very small, only local anesthesia can be used.
Depending on the condition of the parts to be vacuumed, the duration of the operation varies between 1 and 5 hours. Cannula entrance holes are often not sewn or 1-2 stitches are placed. In some cases, cannula holes are used and special thin tubes are placed. With this application, it is possible to drain the serum accumulated inside.
During liposuction surgery, the area where the stubborn fattening is located, is inflated by using a special liquid injection. In the next stage, several incisions of a few mm length are made on or around this area. Considering the patient’s condition, metal tubes (cannulas) with a diameter of 2-6 mm are inserted into the subcutaneous layer through these incisions. These cannulas are connected to the vacuum device with transparent tubes.
The vacuum device is operated and the cannulas are moved at the appropriate depth in the fat accumulation areas and excess fat is started to be removed. The removal of fats by vacuum is continued until the desired body contour and a smooth skin surface are obtained.
Recently, ultrasound energy has also started to be used in liposuction surgery. With this process the excess fat tissues that are broken into pieces by ultrasound waves are then removed from the body by vacuum.
What is the Process After Liposuction Surgery?
After liposuction surgery, the patient should wear a special corset for about 3 weeks. The patient can go home on the day of the operation or the next day. After a few days, it is possible to return to work. After the operation, swelling and bruises are seen in the parts where fat is removed. After an average of 4 weeks, the bruises go away. At the end of approximately 2-3 months, the swelling decreases and full recovery occurs. Thanks to the physical exercises, massage or LPG applications performed after liposuction surgery, swelling decreases faster and there are less stretch marks in the skin.
WHAT IS BREAST AUGMENTATION (BREAST IMPLANT)?
Breast augmentation is a procedure performed on women who are unsatisfied with their breasts to regain a full and vibrant appearance. Factors such as age, weight gain and loss, and breastfeeding cause the breasts to lose their full and lively appearance over time. This situation can cause emotional states such as loss of self-confidence, self-dislike, and unhappiness in women. However, thanks to breast implant treatment, it is possible today to give an aesthetic appearance to the breasts in terms of shape and size. This has paved the way for women to have the looks they dream of. Breast implants play an important role in regaining the self-confidence that women have lost.
How is Breast Augmentation Surgery Performed?
With the help of a breast prosthesis placed behind the breast, chest circumference measurements can be increased by one or several bra sizes.
The type and size of the prosthesis to be implanted, the area where the prosthesis will be placed, the location of the incision, and whether the patient is a suitable candidate for this operation are shaped by the patient’s expectations. If a sagging problem accompanies the small breast, breast lifting and recovery are performed simultaneously while the breasts are enlarged with breast prostheses.
There are issues that need to be outlined in the interview to be held before breast augmentation surgery:
- Desired breast size
- What type and shape of prosthesis will be used
- In which way and with which plan the prosthesis will be placed
In general terms, prostheses are divided into two: prostheses filled with saline and prosthesis filled with gel silicone. The outer surface of these two prostheses is made of a silicone shell.
Protezlerin iki farklı şekli vardır:
There are two different forms of prostheses:
- Round prostheses
- Drop-shaped prostheses
The surfaces of the prostheses may be flat or rough. When breast augmentation surgery is performed, some incisions are made to place the prosthesis. The areas where the incisions are made are:
- Nipple
- Under-breast line
- Underarm
Prostheses can be placed either under the breast tissue or behind muscle tissue.
Breast surgeries are performed under general anesthesia. It takes 1.5-2 hours on average. After the operation, a small dressing is required. Then the patient is dressed in a bra. After breast augmentation surgery, the patient can often go home in the evening of the same day. The reason for this is that the negative effects of both anesthesia and surgical procedures are low for the patient
Of course, it should not be forgotten that breast augmentation with silicone prostheses is a surgery. Complications may occur. It has a recovery process that may vary from patient to patient. In all aesthetic surgical interventions, it is essential to establish a patient-doctor relationship based on mutual trust. This principle is also valid in breast augmentation surgery.
WHAT IS BREAST UPLIFT (MASTOPEXY OPERATION)?
Breast uplift operation is a preferred treatment method to end the sagging of the breasts and to achieve a healthier, aesthetically pleasing appearance. Different factors can be impactful in sagging breasts. Breast tissue bonds may loosen over time due to a problem in the breast tissue, skin, or both. These ligaments perform the function of holding the breast in place. As a result, hollow-looking, sagging breasts appear. Thanks to mastopexy operation, the breasts can get rid of this unaesthetic appearance.
Breast lift surgeries can be performed in any age group. But it is recommended to wait until the end of the individual’s physical development period. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are factors that affect breast shape. Since the milk ducts and nipple connection are preserved during the breast uplift operation and the milk glands are not affected by it, milk can be given after the operation.
Which Factors Are Effective in Breast Sagging?
- Aging
- Repeated weight gain and loss
- Gravity
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
How is Breast Uplift Surgery Performed?
During the breast uplift operation, the sagging breast tissue is reshaped and the excess skin is separated from the body. The nipple is positioned where it should normally be. The operation is performed under general anesthesia, in hospital conditions and in the operating room and takes 1.5-2 hours. Depending on the degree of sagging in the breast, different types of scars remain.
If the patient is suitable, sagging can be eliminated only by placing a breast prosthesis. In such applications, the surgical scar is hidden only at the junction of the brownish skin of the nipple and the white skin of the breast. This means that traces of the scar would be kept in minimum degree. None of the mastopexy surgeries can be done without leaving a scar. However, while these traces are evident at first, they become difficult to distinguish as time passes.
How is the Process After Breast Uplift Surgery?
The process after breast uplift surgery is mostly comfortable and not much pain is felt. If the surgery was performed using a breast prosthesis, arm movements may be limited for a few days. At this stage, the breasts are covered with a bra-like wrap. This dressing is removed after 7 days.
It may take 7-10 days for the stitches to be removed. Massage is recommended for the patient who uses sports bra for 6 weeks. In the first period; swelling, numbness in the nipple and bruising may occur. Such ailments will disappear on their own in a short time.
How is a Non-Surgical Breast Uplift Performed?
Non-surgical breast uplift operation is a very suitable technique for women who do not have time to perform this procedure using breast implants for breast uplift application.
In the non-surgical breast uplift procedure, surgery is not required to lift the breast. Instead, injectable fillers are used. This is the difference between surgery and this technique. Before the operation begins, blood is taken from the patient. The intervention takes about 30 minutes. Platelets in the blood are separated from red blood cells by a special process. This solution then mediates the secretion of cellular growth factors from platelets. A small amount of injectable fillers is added to the solution. This mixture is then injected into certain parts of the breast.
With the non-surgical breast uplift operation, the function of a good bra is aimed: to lift the breasts and to make the groove between them prominent. Women who do not expect a significant change in breast size are suitable candidates for this method. Women who want their breasts to gain a more beautiful shape and younger look are suitable candidates for non-surgical breast uplift operation.
WHAT IS BREAST REDUCTION?
In the breast reduction operation, the excess skin, fat and gland tissues on the breast are removed. The nipple of the sagging breast is brought back to its original position and thus the breast becomes upright. Big breasts can cause physical difficulties in women’s lives as well as hindering the aesthetic appearance. Breast reduction surgery, which is performed to gain the normal size of large breasts and to eliminate some of the problems experienced, is one of the most popular aesthetic applications of recent times.
Who is Breast Reduction Surgery Applied to?
Breast reduction surgery can be performed in women who have completed physical growth and do not have a hormonal disease. In all breast reduction techniques, while the breast is reduced, a lift is also performed at the same time. The factors that determine these techniques are:
- The size of the breasts
- The structure of the rib cage
- skin properties
How is the Process Before Breast Reduction Surgery?
Before breast reduction surgery, the patient undergoes a detailed examination performed by specialist doctors. During this examination, the patient tells all her complaints and expectations. The patient is informed about the operation to be performed and the possible results of this operation. Smoking patients should quit smoking 1–2 weeks before the intervention.
How is Breast Reduction Surgery Performed?
Excess breast skin and glandular tissue are separated from the body while breast reduction surgeries are performed. In order to do so, incisions are made in different areas. Extra effort is made to conceal the traces of the incisions. These scars appear as a vertical line extending down and around the nipple in breasts of medium size and medium sagging rate. However, in an excessively large breast, in addition to these scars, a horizontal scar (inverted T) may occur under the breast. The less the deformation, the less traces will be.
Breast reduction surgeries performed under general anesthesia take 2-3 hours. It is normal to experience pain in the first hours. In order to reduce these pains, doctors immediately apply the necessary treatments.
What is the Process After Breast Reduction Surgery?
In breast reduction surgeries, the sutures are placed inside the skin and hidden. Therefore, when the dressings are opened, the patient does not see the stitches. She only notices incisions that look like they’ve been glued. It is possible for the patient to get up and walk on the same day. They can perform their own easy activities within 1-2 days. Although it is different for each patient, in general, patients can return to normal living conditions in 4 to 10 days. Heavy sports activities cannot be done for a certain period of time. Approximately 2 weeks after the operation, medically produced special bras are used instead of normal bras.
WHAT IS BUTT AESTHETICS?
Butt or Buttock aesthetics is a surgical procedure applied to regain the shape of the butt, which has lost its ideal form, with various methods. This procedure, whose purpose is to give the butt a full, lively and healthy appearance, is known by various names:
- Brazilian butt
- Butt lift
- Butt enlargement
With this aesthetic surgical intervention, which has become popular under the name of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), fat is injected into the butt area and thus the butt gains an aesthetic appearance. Injected fats are mostly obtained from the patient’s body by liposuction technique. If fat cannot be obtained from the patient, the procedure can also be performed with a hip implant and filling application.
How is the Process Before Butt Aesthetic Surgery?
The process before and after butt lift surgery is almost as important as the surgery itself. In order for the Brazilian butt lift surgery to take place, the patient’s examination results must be suitable for the procedure. The patient does not need to do anything else.
As it is the case for every surgery, the patient should pay attention to some issues before the surgery. Before the operation, the patient should pay attention to have a balanced diet, limit smoking and alcohol consumption, and prepare for the procedure by doing light exercises.
How is Butt Lift Surgery Performed?
Brazilian butt lift surgery is an effortless, one-session procedure that can be performed in a few hours. In this operation, which is performed under general anesthesia, first of all, excess fat accumulated in the patient’s abdomen, hips and waist is removed by liposuction technique. These extracted fats are injected into various parts of the buttock.
In cases where there is not much fat in the patient’s body, hip implants or silicone prostheses are used for this procedure. An incision is made around the hip and these implants are placed in the hip area. It is possible to use the fat injection technique together with the hip implant in more specific cases where better contours are desired and also to alleviate the hip implant sensation.
How is the Process After Butt Lift Surgery?
The patient stays in the hospital for 1 day in order to follow up the complications that may occur after the operation. At this stage, edema and reddening in the area are possible. Drains are used for fluid removal. These drains are removed 3 days after the operation. In the next stage, the patient is dressed in a corset in order for the butt to take the desired form. This corset also plays a facilitating role in eliminating the scars formed after the surgery.
After the Brazilian butt lift surgery, the patient can return to his routine life within 7 days. After 1 week, light exercises can be started without straining the area. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for 1 week after the surgery. Except for this 1-week period, Brazilian butt lift does not affect sexual life. In the first period after the operation, tight clothes that will tighten the area should be avoided. However, 1 month after the operation, the patient can wear tight clothes and jeans.
Contrary to popular belief, sitting or sleeping position has no effect on the form of the butt. About 1 week after the operation, the patient can sit on his butt and sleep in the supine position.
Recovery takes place 3 months after Brazilian butt lift surgery. All warnings must be followed for the process to proceed successfully.
WHAT IS RHINOPLASTY SURGERY?
Rhinoplasty surgery is a preferred surgical treatment method to change the shape of the nose and have a more functional nose. It is one of the most popular treatment methods for people who want to have a more aesthetic and healthy appearance.
Rhinoplasty surgery is mostly known as an aesthetic treatment method today. However, rhinoplasty surgery is preferred in the treatment of patients who have difficulty breathing, feel pain in the nose and have a nose that is far from anatomically ideal shape. Furthermore, patients with nasal discomfort due to congenital defects or subsequent accidents utilize from rhinoplasty as well.
After the surgery, respiratory problems are largely eliminated. Statistics show that the success rate of the surgery for an average patient is 90%.
How is the Process Before Rhinoplasty Surgery?
Rhinoplasty surgery is suitable for patients of all age groups. However, it is recommended that patients who do not require serious treatment or have an emergency disability should have surgery after the age of 18.
Before the rhinoplasty surgery, patients should take a break from the drugs they use. Moreover, smoking should be stopped. Before rhinoplasty surgery, patients should inform the doctor regarding their past surgeries or chronic diseases, if there is any.
With rhinoplasty surgery, the shape of the nose changes permanently. Due to that reason, the doctor, who photographs the patient’s nose from different angles before the rhinoplasty is performed, determines the most ideal form in terms of facial structure.
How is the Treatment Process in Rhinoplasty Surgery?
Rhinoplasty surgery is performed in two ways:
- Open rhinoplasty surgery
- Closed rhinoplasty surgery
Closed technique is recommended as healing occurs more quickly. The doctor decides which technique is more suitable for harvesting.
General anesthesia is mostly used in this operation. For this reason, the patient should stop solid and liquid nutrition 6 hours before the operation. An average rhinoplasty surgery takes 1.5-2 hours.
How is the Process After Rhinoplasty Surgery?
After the rhinoplasty surgery, after the patient regains consciousness and anesthesia loses its effect, short-term pain may be experienced in the nose, head and cheeks. Bleeding after rhinoplasty is a short-term complication, and it gradually ends within 48 hours. Common ailments such as headaches also disappear with the relief of pain. The patient’s nose is supported for a while with a plastic plaster. Swelling and bruises may occur in the nose. This is quite normal and will fade over time. The recovery period, which differs from patient to patient, is approximately 3-4 weeks.
Patients can consume liquid foods such as soup and walk slowly 4 hours after the surgery. During the first 8 weeks, it is recommended for patient not to do heavy exercises in order not to expose the nose to a bad effect.
The patient is examined by a doctor in the first, third, sixth and twelfth months in order to track the recovery process.
WHAT IS THIGH LIFT (UPPER LEG LIFT)?
The upper leg area is known as the thigh. Thigh lift surgery is performed by stretching this rarea using various methods. Fat deposition and excess skin occur in the inner and upper parts of the legs due to several reasons such as aging and excessive weight gain and loss. Such problems are eliminated through thigh lift surgery. After the operation, the upper leg becomes more functional and gains an aesthetic form.
How is Thigh Lift Treatment Performed?
No special preparation is required before the thigh lift operation. However, as necessary before any surgery, the patient should take a break from some habits or practices before this intervention. Some of these are:
- Smoking
- Alcohol consumption
- Usage of blood thinners
Thigh lift operation is performed with general anesthesia. Thigh lift operation takes 2 to 3 hours. With this procedure, excess fat or skin in the patient’s thigh is separated from the body.
In case of low level of excess skin, this excess skin is separated from the body in a way that leaves a slant and scar in the inner part of the groin, and the remaining skin is brought to a tight state and sutured. If there is excess skin and fat on the thigh, the liposuction technique may accompany the procedure.

In the case of combined surgeries, this period is extended and the patient may need to stay in the hospital for one day. After the facelift is performed, dressing is applied in a way where the patient’s eyes, nose and mouth are exposed. Subsequently, the face is wrapped. By placing the drain, the accumulations that may occur inside are prevented. These rubber pipes, called drains, are removed after a maximum of 2 days. The patient’s healing process is monitored during dressing changes and on the 2nd or 3rd day, the hair can be washed when the dressing is dissolved. The stitches are removed approximately 5-7 days after the surgery.
